Apex is proud to be a contributing private partner to the WSRN by enhancing and extending the effectiveness of the GPS system.

Apex is proud to be a contributing private partner to the Washington State Reference Network (WSRN) by enhancing and extending the effectiveness of the GPS system in Washington. Apex has provided a location for a GPS base station on the roof of its office building, which is providing extended GPS coverage within the Puget Sound area.

The WSRN is a regional cooperative of GPS base stations that provides real-time network solutions through wireless modems. Apex is the only one of three private firms in the entire network to partner with the WSRN. This partnership allows Apex the flexibility to select the tool, which will provide the most cost-saving solution for our clients. Apex can save time by eliminating the need for a base station, to continuously receive “Real-Time” corrections, and permit Apex to efficiently utilize crew resources on a project site.  This facet of our work includes control for aerial (drone) mapping, subsidence surveys for earth or building movement, GIS mapping control, and construction machine control. Mission planning is vital to a successful project.

Apex strives to ensure that our clients are getting the best value as we apply GPS or conventional survey technology. Efficient utilization of an expertly trained staff is a key element in achieving our client’s specifications on time and within budget
